Janice Graham

I was born and brought up in Southwestern Ontario.  My education at the University of Western Ontario followed by the College of Education led to my teaching certification in secondary school art.  From childhood on, I had the pleasure of participating in a variety of art classes at recreation and adult education centres.  One of my most enjoyable art experiences has been my many years of membership in the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre where I took classes taught by some of the finest local watercolour artists.

Since moving to Victoria in 2003, I have enrolled in a steady number of classes at Recreation and Community Centres, the Victoria College of Art, the Vancouver Island School of Art as well as at the studios of several teaching artists.

My memberships in Clubs have included Studio Madrona, the Oak Bay Art Club, the Victoria Sketch Club, and the Windsor Park Art Club.

As a member of these groups, I enjoy the inspiring and encouraging companionship of my many artist friends.  I explore painting in a variety of styles using watercolour, oil , and acrylic paints.  Bright colours attract me. With my art groups, I have participated in several art shows.
