Joan Head
Artist: Joan Head
Title: "Food is Art" ; 12" roll on 12x15" stoneware palette
Artist's comments: The subject is a gluten free lemon jelly roll; decorative medium is buttercream frosting. Key creative tools include palette knife, piping bag, and paintbrush.

Comments welcome (regretfully tasting samples are not longer available)

Editor's comments: While a 2-dimensional version can't quite make up for Joan's mid-session treats at Windsor Park Pavilion, we are very grateful to be reminded of her fabulous baking skills and look forward to partaking again in the new year!

Larry Gollner
Artist: Larry Gollner
Title: "Mt Baker"; 9x12" ; watercolour and India ink on Arches paper
Artist's comments: This image was done very quickly (+/- 10 minutes); trying to paint more rapidly, minimize detail, and use more colour.

Comments welcome.
