ART CONNECTIONS
SPECIAL EDITION Newsletter
May 13, 2020
Welcome to the fifth special edition of VSC's Art Connections!

Thanks to everyone for your submissions! This week's theme is-- you guessed it -- flowers!

We intend to publish every image but may sometimes hold off on publishing in an effort  to group images into loosely-defined themes, as we did last week and this.

How about some sketches... in pencil, pen, or paint? Preliminary, tentative, fully developed? From a past Tuesday afternoon session, a trip, or just personal exploration of an idea?

TitleAndra Tutto Bene (Everything will be alright), acrylic 30" x 30"
Artist's Comments:
Inspired by the flowering wisteria (glycine) in Italy; My heart was with Italy: what is happening now and what is unknown for the future.

TitleBaja Florals, (from CoronaJournal) Stratford mixed media paper, archival acid free cotton, 5.5 x 8”, watercolour & ink
Artist's Comments:
Loosely sketched, from the ‘before times’, when Covid-19 seemed far away... These wildflowers were as bright as jewels in the arid and dusty desert Baja landscape.
